Parking Policy for Employees and Visitors of MB Al Azaiba Office

Background:

The company always strives to provide a comfortable working environment for employees in all aspects. It has been noticed recently that some employees and visitors do not adhere to the fundamental parking regulations. Therefore, there is a need to have a parking policy.

Scope of Policy:

This policy applies to all employees and visitors using the parking area in the MB Al Azaiba Office.

 

Types of Violations:

We expect employees and visitors to follow the parking guidelines.

The below actions will be considered as violations of the parking guidelines:

  • Parking in the wrong direction (forward parking).
  • Parking in a reserved parking space.
  • Parking in a “no parking zone” such as entry and exit areas.
  • Taking up more than one parking space with one vehicle.
  • Blocking other parked vehicles even if it is the employee’s car parking space.
  • If the car is parked for more than 3 days in non-reserved parking spaces without notifying the Musstir Security Team.
  • Cars not parked at the center of the parking space.

 

Parking General Guidelines:

  1. The parking area is reserved for different spaces as stated below:
  • Parking spaces for shareholders.
  • Parking spaces for eligible employees as per the HR Policy.
  • Parking spaces for handicapped.
  • Parking spaces for food deliveries.
  • Parking spaces for female employees.
  • Parking spaces for visitors.
  • Parking spaces for early arrivals.
  • Any parking space that is allocated to an employee based on Management steer.

All other non-reserved parking spaces (parking spaces without a board) are available for all employees and visitors to park their vehicles, yet they are required to follow this policy.

 

  1. Employees with reserved parking spaces shall notify the Musstir security team if they intend to park their vehicles for more than 3 days. We do not encourage employees to park their cars for a longer period.

 

  1. Employees are allowed to park their cars in non-reserved locations for a maximum of 3 days. After this period, the Musstir Security Team will engage with the government authority to remove the car with no liability for any damage to the vehicle and any associated cost will be on the vehicle owner.

 

  1. Employees shall adhere to the driving speed limit within the parking premises (10 km/h).

 

  1. All cars are the sole responsibility of their owners and by parking inside the premises, the employees and the visitors are considered to agree with this policy.

 

  1. Musstir Security Team is the assigned guardian of the parking spaces and has the right to take actions as they preserve correctly. They have the right to stop or deny access to vehicles, and drivers, and report any violation to the legal team.

 

  1. Musstir Security Team reserves the right to report any bad behavior including verbal abuse to the legal team to raise a case. Employees are requested to contact security or the registered number on the parking violation sticker for any complaints.

 

  1. MB Management retains the right to change this policy without prior notice. It is the responsibility of all employees and visitors to be always knowledgeable about the updated policy.

 

  1. Tenants of the building don’t own parking slots based on their tenant agreement. 

 

  1. Removing slots, re-arranging the parking area, or removing cars as seen fit by the Organization shall be done without prior notice.

 

  1. In case of any emergency or alarms, the assembly points are located in the parking area.

 

  1. Employees shall not litter on the premises, as bins are available within the parking areas.

 

 Non-Liability:

  • While the car is parked within the parking area, the owner of the car is responsible for the following:

 

  1. The safety of vehicles parked inside the company premises. This includes the safety of the vehicle’s exterior, interior, and the stuff inside and outside the vehicle. Parked vehicles need to be locked and secured by the vehicle driver/owner.
  2. Loss of any valuable or non-valuable items.
  3. Vehicle damage will not be covered by the company. Vehicle owners will bear the full insurance and repairs cost should any damage of whatever nature or theft occur.
  4. Expenses related to repairing the car because of removal from the parking area due to any type of violation.

 

Procedures for any act of violation:

Employees shall follow the guidelines and any violation stated in the clause of “Types of Violations” will result in the procedures below:

  • Violating any of the above will result in receiving a first warning/sticker on the car in the back side windows.
  • Violating any of the above a second time will result in a second warning/sticker on the car in the back side windows.
  • Violating any of the above a third time will result in keeping & transferring your car outside the premises until the “Parking Appeal Form” is completed. where you will receive further instructions on what to do.
  • Any violation beyond those which are stated in clause of “Types of Violations” will be referred to the relevant authorities for their action.

 

Effective date:

This policy is effective from 1st June 2024.
