Dr. Mohammed Al Barwani is the founder and Chairman of MB Group of companies. He has been serving as the honorary consul of Monaco for Oman since 2021. Additionally, he is a non-executive Director of several publicly traded and joint-stock companies, such as Al Madina Insurance Co. SAOG (Oman), and Watania Insurance Company (Abu Dhabi). He was formerly non-executive Chairman of Oman Air SAOC, the Omani national airline, board member of the National Bank of Oman, Shell Oman Marketing Company, Taageer Leasing Company (Oman), Nautilus Minerals Inc (Toronto Stock Exchange), and UCL Resources Pty Limited (Australian Stock Exchange). He was also the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Oman from April 2006 to November 2018.

Dr. Al Barwani has received the Royal Order of Commendation- Second Class from His Majesty the Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq for his effective societal contributions. He was felicitated with a Life Time Achievement award by the Al-Iktissad Wal-Aamal magazine (2008) and selected by Ernst & Young as a Global Entrepreneur to represent Oman in 2012. He was conferred “COMMANDEUR” IN DE ORDE VAN ORANGE-NASSAU by Her Majesty the Queen of The Netherlands in January 2012. Additionally, Dr. Al Barwani was awarded the Order of Merit of the Republic of Poland in March 2014.

Dr. Al Barwani has a Bachelor’s degree in Science from Miami University, USA & was awarded a Master’s degree and Honorary PhD in Petroleum Engineering from Herriot-Watt University, UK.

Sharifa Al Harthy is the board advisor for MB Group, and is the Chairwoman of MB Foundation, which aims to provide support to our local community in areas of education, women’s empowerment, healthcare and social welfare. She has played a pivotal role in setting up the MB Group of Companies since its inception in 1982. Ever since, she has been instrumental in advising the group companies on human resources policy and development.
Sharifa Al Harthy has a B.A in Business Administration from Jordan University (Amman, Jordan), and also holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Texas Southern University (Houston, Texas, USA).

Usama Al Barwani is the Vice Chairperson for MB LLC and Managing Director of Petrogas Exploration and Production, the upstream oil and gas exploration and production arm of MB LLC. He oversees the long-term strategic plan for Petrogas internationally and directs the company’s vision. On a Group level, Usama oversees the integration and cooperation among Group companies and the development of shared direction, especially in terms of sustainability and culture.

Usama Al Barwani is also on the board of Oceanco Yachts in Holland and Turquoise yachts in Turkey. Additionally, he is a member of the board of Arcapita Bank, a Bahrain-based Islamic Merchant Bank and Private Equity company, as well as Watania Takaful, a Dubai-listed Takaful Insurance company. Previously, he was a board member of Toronto Stock Exchange listed Nautilus Minerals Inc, and was the Chairman of Oman based Ubar Hotels and Resorts.

Usama received a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from Tulsa University and an MSc in Energy, Trade and Finance from City University’s Cass Business School in London.

Tariq Al Barwani is the Managing Director of Mohammed Al Barwani Petroleum Services (MBPS), Mawarid Mining, United Engineering Services (UES), and Al Sharqiya Aviation (ASA).
Tariq is also a Director of several subsidiary companies within the MB Group which has wide ranging interests in oilfield services, exploration of oil, gas, minerals, investment & financial services.
Tariq holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from the Imperial College in London and a Masters of Business Administration specializing in Strategy and Leadership from McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Iman Al Barwani the CEO of the MB Foundation, where she is actively involved in the functions of the charity along with its Chairperson Sharifa Al Harthy.
Iman al Barwani also sits on the board of various charitable organizations, namely the Student Support Fund of Al Sharqiya University and the Oman Charitable Organization. She is a holder of the ‘Special Merit Award’ at the Al Mara Awards for Excellence.
She holds a degree in International Communications from Franklin College in Switzerland.

Safana Al Barwani is the Managing Director of MUSSTIR, where she oversees the development and management of all properties on behalf of the MB Group of Companies.
Safana is also on the Board of Directors of Madina Takaful SAOG and Al Baleed Resort Salalah by Anantara. Additionally, she sits on the board of trustees of Oman Tourism College.

Safana received her bachelor degree from The University of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Rahma Al Barwani is the Innovation Hub Manager and a shareholder of MB LLC, where she focuses on leading the effort to unlock, reward, and facilitate innovation across the MB Group of companies. Previously, Rahma was the Marketing and Communications Manager at Musstir LLC.
Rahma holds a Bachelor of Communications and Media Studies from Franklin College in Switzerland in 2013 and received a post-graduate Filmmaking Diploma from the London Film Academy in 2014. Additionally, Rahma received an MA in Innovation Management from the University of the Arts: Central Saint Martins in 2022.

Said Al Jabri is the Chief Executive Officer at MB LLC, where he oversees the progress MB LLC and subsidiary companies against their established strategies. He provides strategic direction to develop corporate profitability and ROI. His professional experience spans more than 26 years in the public and private sectors in Oman and overseas in the oil and gas industry. Said holds a master’s degree in Business & Admin from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff.

Ammar Al Ali is a board member at MB LLC. Ammar has nearly 20 years of experience as a private equity specialist with a diverse record of managing high profile projects in investment banking, asset management, raising capital, and core management positions overseeing high-talent teams.
Ammar holds a Bachelor of Business Administration, Finance & Banking from the American University in Dubai, UAE.

Badran is the Chief Human Resources Officer of MB LLC, where he focuses on overseeing the progress of the One HR Function across the different group entities and leading the HR function towards supporting business excellence. His experience in the executive Human Resources Management spans more than 25 years across public and private sectors in Oman and the UK.  Badran Holds a Master’s Degree from Aston University, and is a Chartered Member of MCIP.

Musaveer is the Chief Finance Officer of MB LLC, where he leads the strategic finance function to support sustained growth including excellence in risk management, financial planning, reporting, and governance. Over 25+ years of proven success in Senior Finance roles mainly in Treasurer/Corporate Finance/Audit Committee with various Regional and International organizations. Musaveer holds MBA, CTP & CRM accreditations.

Vinod is the Chief Treasury Officer of MB LLC. He is responsible for the strategic treasury function to ensure optimal liquidity management and utilization for value creation. He is a seasoned finance professional with over 30 years of experience in diverse Industries such as Utilities, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, Real Estate, Trading, Advisory, Audit and Accounting. Formerly, he headed the Corporate Finance function at Nama Holding. Vinod is a rank-holder Chartered Accountant from India, CPA from USA, Certified Treasury Professional from Association of Finance Professionals USA and MBA from University of Wales, UK.

Namit is MB LLC’s Chief Merger and Acquisitions Officer and advises MB Group’s companies worldwide. He has been with the Group for over 12 years with an overall experience of over 23 years in the areas of corporate finance, structured and conventional fundraising (listed/unlisted), cross-border transactions, commercial/legal negotiations, inbound and outbound mergers & acquisitions, litigation and corporate/tax structuring/restructuring.

Dr. Dhishaan Al Shanfari is the Chief medical officer of MB LLC.  She is responsible for ensuring good health and wellbeing of the employees of all MB Group of companies in Oman. She also leads efforts to decrease industrial injuries by promoting health occupation rules and regulations. In addition, she sets up the medical fitness standards for all candidates.

Hassan Al Rasbi is the Chef Communications Officer at MB LLC, where he look after the internal communications function and the corporate branding strategy. Hassan has over 20 years of experience in Oil and Gas companies in fields of Information Technology, Human Resources, and Corporate Communications. He holds an MBA from Sultan Qaboos University.

Mohammed Al Quri is the Head of Internal Audit at MB LLC, where he leads the internal audit function for the different MB Group subsidiaries across the world. Mohammed has over 20 years of experience in Internal Audit, Risk Management and Compliance Assurance. He is a Certified Internal Auditor and holds a Masters of Accounting from Monash University in Australia.

Afrah Musallam Al Busaidi is the Head of Legal at MB LLC, where she is tasked with the Group’s Corporate Wuthortes with the assistance of the Goverment Reation Sector Airan has over 19 years of expertence in Rajab Al Kathiri & Associates law firm and the Ministry of Agricultures and Fisheries Wealth. Afrah holds a Bacholar in Law and Political Science.
