MB Foundation Supports Al Khair Wafi Endowment Project with OMR 50,000

20 Sep 2026

Muscat, 7 September 2026 – MB Foundation has signed an agreement with Al Rahma Association for Motherhood and Childhood Care to contribute OMR 50,000 to the “Al Khair Wafi” building project, a sustainable endowment initiative dedicated to supporting orphan care.

The contribution marks a further step toward completing the project and strengthening a long-term source of funding for the beneficiaries it serves.

Located in Al Hail South, the six-floor building comprises residential apartments, offices, and commercial units. Rental proceeds from the property are allocated to supporting 12,000 orphans under the supervision of the Al Khair Wafi team affiliated with Al Rahma Association.

The agreement was signed at Al Rahma Association’s headquarters in Al Khoudh under the patronage of Her Highness Sayyida Nawal bint Talal Al Said, in the presence of representatives from MB Foundation, the Al Khair Wafi team, and officials from Al Rahma Association. The agreement was signed by Iman Mohammed Al Barwani, CEO of MB Foundation, and Sanaa bint Abdul Rahman Al Khanjari, Chairwoman of Al Rahma Association.

The contribution builds on an earlier OMR 10,000 contribution from MB Foundation during the project’s initial phase, reaffirming the Foundation’s continued commitment to sustainable charitable initiatives and long-term community value.

Rather than addressing an immediate need alone, the project is designed to establish a self-sustaining source of income, allowing its social impact to continue beyond the initial contribution. MB Foundation’s support will contribute to advancing the completion of the building and strengthening the project’s capacity to generate lasting benefits for orphans and the wider community.

Iman Mohammed Al Barwani, CEO of MB Foundation, said:

“Our support for the Al Khair Wafi project reflects our belief that meaningful and sustainable social development is built through strong partnerships between the charitable and private sectors. We are proud to work alongside Al Rahma Association in advancing an initiative designed to create lasting value, and we hope this contribution will help bring the project closer to completion and strengthen its long-term impact on the lives of orphans.”

The partnership reflects MB Foundation’s commitment to supporting initiatives that move beyond short-term assistance to create sustainable social and developmental value. Through strategic partnerships and targeted contributions, the Foundation continues to support projects designed to deliver meaningful and lasting benefits to the communities they serve.
