Mohammed Ali Al Barwani - Chairman of MB Holding
Mr.
Barwani age 56 years, is the founder, owner and Chairman
of the MB Group. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science
from Miami University, Ohio, USA, and a Master’s Degree in
Petroleum Engineering from Herriott-Watt University,
Edinburgh, UK. He acquired extensive experience in the
upstream oil industry as a reservoir engineer employed by
PDO (1976-86) (a joint venture between a Shell
International Company and the Government of Oman). Mr. Al
Barwani started MB Petroleum Services in 1986 in Oman. Mr.
Al-Barwani is on the Board of several joint stock
companies in Oman including, Transgulf Investment Holding
Company (Chairman), Al Madina Gulf Insurance Co.
(Chairman), Oman Aviation Services Co. Mr. Al Barwani was
on the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Oman
(1997-2005) and Taageer Investment & Leasing Co.
(2001-2005) and Shell Oman Marketing Co. SAOG (
2001-2006). He has also been Regional Vice President of
the International Associations of Drilling Contractors. He
is also an active member of Oman-India business
association.

Sharifa
Mohammed Abdulla Al-Harthy - Deputy Chairperson of MB
Holding
Mrs. Sharifa Al Harthy is Mr. Mohammed Al Barwani’s wife.
She has a B.A in Business Administration from Jordan
University (Amman, Jordan), and also holds a Masters
Degree in Business Administration from Texas Southern
University (Houston, Texas, USA). She has attended several
short specialised courses in Human Resources, manpower
development, training and administration. For the last 15
years she has been responsible for the personnel and human
resources aspects of MB Petroleum Services. She is
responsible for advising group companies on human
resources policy and development. She is also responsible
for government relationships and community development.

Hafidh Al
Busaidy - Managing Director of MB Petroleum Services
Mr. Hafidh Al Busaidy, aged 59 years, has B.Sc.
(Geology, Chemistry) and B.Sc Engineering (Petroleum
Engineering) degrees from Imperial College of Science
and Technology, London University. He also holds a
Certified Diploma in Accounting and Finance from the
Chartered Institute of Certified Accountants, London. He
has 30 years experience in petroleum engineering,
drilling, work over, gas engineering and coordination,
economics, planning, production operations and
management. He has worked in senior positions in Abu
Dhabi Operating Company and PDO before joining MB
Petroleum in 2000

Jean Denis
Bouvier - Managing Director and Chief Executive
Officer of Petrogas
Mr. Bouvier has a B.Sc. in Geology and an M.Sc in Geology
and Mining Engineering from University of Geneva,
Switzerland. He has more than 25 years experience in the
exploration and production of oil and gas in the areas of
geophysics, geology and reservoir engineering. He
possesses long working experience with Shell International
in research, operating companies and corporate head office
with extensive management and corporate governance
experience. He has also worked with Petroleum Development
Oman in Oman. He was exploration advisor for Shell
International and then shareholder’s representative for
the governance of BEB (Germany) and RAG (Austria). In
2002, he joined the MB Group as Director-Exploration and
Production and during his tenure within the MB Group, he
managed Block 5 as well as Block 7. Currently he is the
Chief Executive Officer of Petrogas.

Neville Storey - Chief Operating Officer of United
Engineering Services LLC (UES)
He has
over 25 years of experience in oil & gas industry. Stared
his career as seismic engineer with HGS (Halliburton
Geophysical Service) and progressed to a managerial role
in an oilfield support company and moving in to Business
Development within the marine Oil & Gas sector. Prior to
Joining UES, Neville was employed by Baker Hughes Western
Geophysical in a project management team based in Norway
for the construction of two state of the art seismic
vessels.
He joined UES in 2002 and since then his role has expanded
and under the guidance of Smith Services Inc he developed
the Agency Sales stream. In 2005 Neville accepted the
additional responsibility of the Manufacturing and
Services stream, under his guidance and aggressive style
UES manufacturing quickly prospered. Following 100%
acquisition by MB Holding, he was made CEO of UES.

Usama Al
Barwani - Director of Business Development for MB Holding
and Director of Mazoon Petrogas
Mr. Usama Al Barwani is Mr. Mohammed Al Barwani’s eldest
son. He has obtained a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from
Tulsa University (USA) and an M.Sc. (Energy, Trade and
Finance) from City University, London. After completing
his Petroleum Engineering he was employed with Daleel
Petroleum for two years and has gained experience in the
operation and management of the E&P business. He has
attended numerous courses, seminars and conferences around
the world. Currently Usama is Director-Business
Development in MB Holding and is responsible for new
projects and the investments of the MB Group. He is also
actively involved in the MB Group's trading business. He
is on the Board of Directors of Ahli Bank SAOG, a
commercial bank in Oman, Taager Finance Company SAOG, an
independent leasing entity and is Chairman of Flexible
Industrial Packaging Co. SAOG, a company engaged in the
manufacture of flexible packaging, each of which are
publicly traded on the Muscat Securities Market.

Pinak
Chaudhuri - Chief Financial Officer, MB Petroleum Services
LLC
Pinak is a law & business graduate and also a qualified
Chartered Accountant. He has experience of 24 years in
areas of finance, commercial, legal, corporate governance,
and administration functions in multinational
corporations. Pinak started his career as an internal
auditor in Dunlop tyres and had worked in course of his
career in various prestigious organizations, including BP
and Alcan. In 2000 he joined Technip SA, a leading EPC
Company in Oil & Gas/Petrochemicals, having substantial
interests in offshore activities as CFO in their Indian
subsidiary. During his association with Technip he has
held many important positions in India, CIS area, France
and finally served as Division Controller for North Sea
Canada Division based in Aberdeen , Scotland. He has
joined MB Petroleum Services LLC as Chief Financial
Officer and in October ’07.
Pinak is responsible for MB Petroleum, the flagship
company of the Group and is also responsible for financial
affairs of all the overseas entities of the Group.

Sushil
Srivastava - Chief Financial Officer for MB Holding
Mr. Sushil is a graduate in chemical engineering, has a
Masters degree in Finance (AICWA) and a post graduate
diploma in computers and over 20 years’ experience in
corporate finance, M&A, project finance and structuring.
He has worked with premier financial institutions and
merchant bankers in India for eight years and possesses
extensive experience in project financing, financial due
diligence, economic modelling, advisory services and
managing initial public offers. For the last ten years he
has been employed in Oman. His key role has been
identifying and appraising investment opportunities in the
region, acquisitions, structuring, negotiating deals,
arranging finance through international banks and
institutions and group’s treasury management. He joined
the MB Group in 2001 and currently he is heading the
corporate finance division of MB Holding at corporate
office. He is also on the Board of Flexible Industrial
Packaging Co., a public company listed on the Muscat
Securities Market engaged in the manufacture of flexible
packaging.

Mohammad
Masoud Al Kharusi - Director Human Resources & Information
Technology
He is a Mathematician by education with 36 years working
experience in the Oil and Gas Industry in the field of
Information Technology and Human Resources. He has worked
in both local and global environments having spent most of
his working life in Exploration & Production with
Petroleum Development Oman. After retiring from PDO he
also worked in the Downstream of Oil & Gas business by
joining Shell and Total. He has had 2 years overseas
working assignments in Brunei Shell Petroleum Company and
with Shell International Exploration and Production in the
Hague, Emirates National Oil Company in Dubai as the Group
HR Manager with key responsibilities to move HR management
to the next level.
He was involved in the major HR change projects in Shell,
PDO, ENOC and currently in MBH in transforming HR and most
recently in the development of a High Performance
Organization which was part of an overall programme to
transform the companies. Mohammad has a very good business
understanding of the Oil & Gas sector. His experiences
cover both Management of Human Resources and Information
technology and is passionate about HR transformation and
building HR capabilities to support the business having
being strongly influenced by the work of David Ulrich.

Murali
Chidambaram - Chief Internal Auditor for MB Holding
Company
Mr. Murali is a graduate in commerce and a qualified
Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered
Accountant of India. After completing his chartered
accountancy course, he worked in private companies as a
finance executive and, in 1994, joined Ernst & Young,
Bahrain for a period of six-and-a-half years in an audit
supervisor position. On leaving Ernst & Young, Bahrain,
Murali joined the second largest bank in Kuwait, Gulf
Bank, for a period of two-and-a-half years, as an
assistant internal auditor and later moved back to Ernst &
Young, Dubai office for a period of one-and-a-half years.
He joined MB Holding in 2002 and was instrumental in
setting up the internal audit division of the MB Group.

Moza Al Adawy
- Chief Operating Officer of Daleel Petroleum
Ms Adawy holds a Masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering
from the University of Southern California, USA. She has
more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas
industry. She has directed and participated in the
development and management of large oil and gas projects
both upstream and downstream. She possess valuable
experience in well and reservoir management and
significant exposure to enhanced oil recovery. She has
worked for De Nederlande Aardolie Maatschappi B.V. (NAM)
and PDO and as an expert in the Ministry of Oil and Gas in
Oman. Before joining the MB Group she was Director General
of oil and gas development and production in the Omani
Ministry of Oil and Gas.

Mr. Louis
Tapa, Chief Executive Officer, MB Century Drilling Limited
Mr. Louis has over 23 years of management experience in
construction, building, civil, mechanical and drilling. He
worked for 14 years for the Ministry of Works and
Development (now Works Infrastructure) in New Zealand
before joining Downer Construction (NZ) Ltd in 1987. Since
then has held various senior positions within the Downer
Group in New Zealand, PNG, Western Samoa and Singapore
before taking up position at Century Drilling in Brisbane.
Mr. Louis’ experience in logistics, contract and plant
management combined with his skill to motivate staff make
him a valuable member of the Century management team.
Until FMarch-2008, he was working as Deputy Chief
Executive officer of Century Drilling. Following
relocation of Robert Hackett, CEO to Oman, he was promoted
as CEO of MB Century.

Jawed Khan -
Group Manager-Information Technology, for MB Holding
Mr. Jawed Khan is graduate engineer from NWFP University
of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan with specialization
in Electronics & Computer Engineering. He possesses over
16 years of international experience in Information and
Communication technology. He is responsible for all IT
functions of MB Group companies including development,
implementation & maintenance of group information and
communication technology deployment plan in line with
business strategy. Develop and manages plans for data and
equipment security, information privacy, internal
controls, and business continuity. Actively participate to
organizational re-structuring in view of mergers and
acquisition of new companies to re-align IT systems and
processes. He joined MB Group in 1999.

Joerg Walter
Schulte - Managing Director of MB Petroleum Deutschland
GmbH
Mr. Schulte age is 59 years. He holds a university degree
in economics & operation research as well as mechanic
engineering from TU Karlsruhe (Dipl.-Wirtschaftsing.). He
had worked for Mobil Oil (1976-1984), Christensen Diamond
Products (Baker Hughes Inteq GmbH) (1984-1988), FUBA
(1988-1994) and ITAG (1994-2006). Since 2007 he is working
for MB.

Meyer - Commercial Manager EEW
Mr. Meyer age is 40 year. He is born in Cuba. He finished
school in Cuba with university-entrance diploma. He holds
a university degree in economic for the energy industry
from University Zittau, further more he is a certified
auditor. He had worked for utility company City Wismar
(1992-2005). He joint EEW 2005 working as Commercial
Manager.

Friedrich
Kummert - Manager Drilling & Workover EEW
Mr. Kummert age is 64 years. He holds a university degree
in drilling for University Breitenbrunn. Before going to
university Mr. Kummert joint EEW after finishing school
with university-entrance diploma in 1970. He has worked in
all positions available on rig site. After university Mr.
Kummert worked as fishing engineer, tool pusher and till
now as fully responsable manager for all drilling and
workover operations of EEW. 180 manpower are reporting to
Mr. Kummert.

Jürgen Kunze

Mr. Kunze age is 60 years. He holds a university degree
for drilling from University Freiberg. In addition he
holds a controller certificate. Mr. Kunze joined the
company in 1965 after finishing school with
university-entrance diploma. For 3 years he worked on
several positions on rig site. Since 1972, coming back to
EEW from university Mr. Kunze served as Mgr. Planning,
Mgr. Administration and general and since 1993 as manager
human resources.

Dieter Zilt -
Technical Manager EEW
Mr. Zilt age is 55 years. He holds a university degree of
drilling from the University of Freiberg. He joined the
company 1981 and worked at various positions on the rig
site. As well as doing the university study. From
1991-2008 he worked as Technical Manager for ITAG. Mr.
Zilt joint EEW 2008, roughly 30manpower are reporting to
Mr. Zilt. He is a public mining & drilling authority,
certified by mining authority Germany.

Dr. Said Al
Mufarji - General Manager, Research & Development, MB
Petroleum Services
Has over 27 years experience in the Oil & Gas Industry as
a Senior Petroleum Engineer who worked in onshore, sub-sea
and general offshore environments both in the UK and Oman.
He worked for PDO and Shell for 22 years (1982 – 2004) in
various PE departments then joined MB Petroleum in 2004 as
New Technology & Production Solutions General Manager
responsible for introducing and developing new and
unparalleled projects to various clients in and outside
Oman. As a performance demonstration, one of his projects
received PDO Chairman’s Gold Award from HE the Minister of
Oil and Gas in 2007. As the activities henceforth focused
solely on research related technologies, recently his
department was re-branded as R&D.
Dr. Said holds a B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from Tulsa
University – USA, M.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering from
Imperial College – London, DIC from Imperial College,
London and Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering (Fines Migration
Mechanisms in High Permeability Sands) from Robert Gordon
University - UK. He is keen in developing and patenting
new technologies which do not exist to help in more
efficient and more economical oil and gas exploitation in
Oman and overseas where MBPS operates. |
